The first thing that that was apparent to me when I got out of my rental car in the enclosed Ewa parking garage when I first ar ... Morerived was how clean the garage was. I easily found an available spot and upon entering the lobby, found that this seemed just as clean as the parking garage – a very good sign."
My check-in was quick and effortless and Brandon who checked me in was courteous, professional, and friendly. Also, since my flight back to the mainland was in the evening, Brandon stated that I could check-out at 1p instead of 12 noon on the day of my departure.
When I exited the elevator to walk to my room on the 5th floor, I noticed a strong odor of cigarette smoke. When I entered my room, it seemed clean but also smelled of cigarette smoke. I phoned the front desk and Brandon apologized, stated that smoking was not allowed at the Ewa, and offered to change my room. I was then given a larger room on the fourth floor that was spotless and smoke free.
Throughout my stay, all staff at the Ewa Hotel were top notch and so helpful. I was very pleased with my new room and housekeeping always kept it spotless. All staff were also very courteous and friendly - which means a lot when you're thousands of miles away from home. The next time that I'm in Waikiki, the Ewa Hotel will be at the top of my list for accommodations. I would also like to add that my room safe could not be opened in my room during my stay so I was offered to store my valuables in the safe deposit box at the front desk. Bob at the front desk then informed me that they were discounting my parking 50% because of this inconvenience. Thank you Bob! This is what good customer service is all about and your kindness meant a lot and was most appreciated. Close -

to the island. We missed out on the continental breakfast but that really wasnt why we choose the hotel, being on the East side of Waikiki made it a quiet relaxing place to stay. We live in Chicago so being deep in Waikiki like alot of other hotels wasnt a selling point for us. Close" -

surprised me. It was extremely comfortable, a bit on the old side, but spotlessly maintained, and the staff was friendly and courteous. It was a short, 5-minute walk to the beach, 5-minute walk to Kapiolani Park, 5-minute walk to some good restaurants, convenient to a lot of things. It's located on a quiet cross street just two blocks from the beach, but a very quiet place to go relax. Book it for the price, then enjoy the comfort! Close" -

m was very clean. AC unit was the best of any in any budget hotel I've stayed in in Waikiki. Always clean towels. No balcony. :-("
Staff from the desk personnel to housekeeping were extremely friendly and helpful and friendly though I wish housekeeping were quieter in the morning especially around rooms with "do not disturb" signs on the doors...like mine. Close -

illow, and no bellhop, just a down home clean safe place to enjoy your stay. If your lucky you will meet Bob at the front desk. This man made me and my 11 year old son feel right at home! He had great tips on the sights and dinning around the area. Always greeted us on our coming and goings from the hotel. Truly a dedicated employee, and will insure you get the most of your stay in Honolulu. All in all the complete staff makes this Hotel a hidden jewel in Honolulu! They truly understand the meaning of Aloha! Close" -

close to the beach try the Ewa hotel. It is an older hotel but boutique in style nestled amoung all the expensive high rises. We had a mini kitchen in our room that helped cut down on food expense. To coin a phrase "We'll be back" Mahalo. Good service and nice folks. Close" -

our stay, but there are two ABC stores less than a block from the hotel, you can easily take care of essential breakfast, snack and beach purchases cheaply. Would definitely stay here again. "Diamond Head side of Waikiki near park, zoo, aquarium. Easy access to the road in & out of Waikiki. 2 blocks from the beach. No view, but why hang out in the room. If you want a quiet, clean, comfortable, convenient room near the ... More
action, (not in it), this is the place. Parking was pricey, ($20) you can try parking lots or stick to Waikiki and just walk. Besides, the price is right even with the parking fee added. Close"
