Ewa Hotel Waikiki Reviews

See what our guests are saying about Ewa Hotel Waikiki:

  • "This Hotel is a little gem, yes it is a little dated but has clean spacious rooms with all you could need in them. Comfortable beds, fantastic shower water pressure, coffee pot plus small kitchenette with mini fridge & microwave. ... More
There is an ice machine in the garage. A short walk to the beach and the main strip. Starbucks is a 2 minute walk and the ABC (corner shop) is one minute walk away. The staff are lovely, so friendly, especially John, he went out of his way to help us, so much so we bought him a latte from Starbucks to say thankyou. They were all very helpful priniting us out walking and driving maps on request and suggesting places to explore. The kids loved helping themselves to the iced lemon water in reception, nice touch Ewa. Close
  • "My boyfriend and I had a great time in Waikiki and our room definitely did not distract from our stay. The room was very clean, had a firm but plush queen bed, a sofa, and a kitchenette with stove, refrigerator, and coffee pot. Th ... More
e staff was very friendly and knows the area well. There were many moderately priced restaurants within walking distance, as well as Kapiolani Park, Waikiki Beach, the Aquarium, and the Zoo.
The downside was that this is an older building, the view out of my window was of several balconies in the neighboring buildings, and housekeeping knocked on our door at 9am. Hardly an inconvenience for the price difference between this hotel and many others on the strip.
Overall Five Stars for this two star hotel. I would definitely stay here again for the amenities if I visit Honolulu in the future. Close

uld send flowers. I lost a tooth and John got me the local dentist, with directions from the hotel. In two days I was up and running. I had a great time. My room had clean towels every day with Teressa making my bed for me. WOW this place is run like a 5 star hotel with a budget. I can't tell you how nice it is to feel clean, safe, comfortable, and one and half blocks from the beach! Close
  • "We took this hotel not expecting to be in a 5 star establishment and we weren't disappointed. I would rate this as a 3 star hotel, but having said that, our experience was a very happy one. The hotel and rooms are not like in a ne ... More
w hotel but they are clean, comfortable, well appointed and roomy! The staff are helpful and friendly and the position of the hotel is excellent if you want to spend time at the beach. The rates are very reasonable and this will be the hotel of choice for our next visit to Hawaii. We would recommend this hotel if you are on a budget or you aren't looking for the latest and greatest for your accommodation but would prefer to spend your hard earned cash on other things on your holiday. • "Perfect location in Waikiki next to the beach and all the excitement. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The room was quiet and clean. For the price and location, can't be beat! "
  • "My June 2012 week long stay at the Ewa Hotel in Waikiki could not have been more pleasurable.

rived was how clean the garage was. I easily found an available spot and upon entering the lobby, found that this seemed just as clean as the parking garage – a very good sign.
My check-in was quick and effortless and Brandon who checked me in was courteous, professional, and friendly. Also, since my flight back to the mainland was in the evening, Brandon stated that I could check-out at 1p instead of 12 noon on the day of my departure.

When I exited the elevator to walk to my room on the 5th floor, I noticed a strong odor of cigarette smoke. When I entered my room, it seemed clean but also smelled of cigarette smoke. I phoned the front desk and Brandon apologized, stated that smoking was not allowed at the Ewa, and offered to change my room. I was then given a larger room on the fourth floor that was spotless and smoke free.

Throughout my stay, all staff at the Ewa Hotel were top notch and so helpful. I was very pleased with my new room and housekeeping always kept it spotless. All staff were also very courteous and friendly - which means a lot when you're thousands of miles away from home. The next time that I'm in Waikiki, the Ewa Hotel will be at the top of my list for accommodations. I would also like to add that my room safe could not be opened in my room during my stay so I was offered to store my valuables in the safe deposit box at the front desk. Bob at the front desk then informed me that they were discounting my parking 50% because of this inconvenience. Thank you Bob! This is what good customer service is all about and your kindness meant a lot and was most appreciated. Close

to the island. We missed out on the continental breakfast but that really wasnt why we choose the hotel, being on the East side of Waikiki made it a quiet relaxing place to stay. We live in Chicago so being deep in Waikiki like alot of other hotels wasnt a selling point for us. Close
  • "Very helpful and friendly staff: front-desk, management and cleaning personnel. Great location: only a few minutes walk to the beach and the main promenade. All in all, great value. Would return. "
  • "I have to admit - when I booked my stay at the Ewa Waikiki Hotel my primary criteria was price. I figured I'd spend most of my time away from the hotel, so I wasn't greatly concerned about the quality. Surprise! This hotel really ... More
surprised me. It was extremely comfortable, a bit on the old side, but spotlessly maintained, and the staff was friendly and courteous. It was a short, 5-minute walk to the beach, 5-minute walk to Kapiolani Park, 5-minute walk to some good restaurants, convenient to a lot of things. It's located on a quiet cross street just two blocks from the beach, but a very quiet place to go relax. Book it for the price, then enjoy the comfort! Close
  • "I've stayed at many properties in Waikiki. This has been one of my favorite properties for the price and location. Probably not a full 5 star rating; maybe 4.5. Room is small but average for the area. Bed was very comfortable. Roo ... More
m was very clean. AC unit was the best of any in any budget hotel I've stayed in in Waikiki. Always clean towels. No balcony. :-(
Staff from the desk personnel to housekeeping were extremely friendly and helpful and friendly though I wish housekeeping were quieter in the morning especially around rooms with "do not disturb" signs on the mine. Close
  • "We spent 6 days at Eva Hotel at the tail end of May 2012. And was chosen because of its location and being off the beaten path. Although an older property, it is well kept, and we felt right at home. You won't get a mint on your p ... More
illow, and no bellhop, just a down home clean safe place to enjoy your stay. If your lucky you will meet Bob at the front desk. This man made me and my 11 year old son feel right at home! He had great tips on the sights and dinning around the area. Always greeted us on our coming and goings from the hotel. Truly a dedicated employee, and will insure you get the most of your stay in Honolulu. All in all the complete staff makes this Hotel a hidden jewel in Honolulu! They truly understand the meaning of Aloha! Close
